In order to access your application later, however, you will need: (1) your Application ID, and (2) the answer to the security question that you will choose on this page.To choose a security question, pick the one you like the best from the dropdown list, type your answer to that question in the box below, and click “Continue.” Remember: In order to access your application later, you will need to know the answer exactly as you wrote it on this page.
You can also use your Application ID and security question to retrieve your Confirmation Page after you have submitted your application, or to use your previously provided application information to complete a new application at a later date.
Note: Electronically submitting your DS-160 online application is the FIRST STEP in the visa application process. The next step is to review the internet page of the embassy or consulate where you plan to apply for your visa. Most visa applicants will need to schedule a visa interview, though some applicants may qualify for visa renewal. The embassy or consulate information may include specific local instructions about scheduling interviews, submitting your visa application, and other frequently asked questions.
Please complete your DS-160 in a timely manner, applications which have not been updated for sixty (60) days or submitted will be removed from the systems and users will be required to start a new application.

Applicants Who are Eligible to Renew their Visas Without an Interview: Important Note: Applicants who are eligible to renew their visa without an interview may only submit their document on the date and time on this letter AT ARAMEX. Please READ ALL of the following information: The interview waiver program is only available to Algerian citizens or legal residents. If you have received this letter and are not an Algerian citizen or legal resident, please contact the call center immediately and do not send your documents. Processing of an interview waiver visa application takes 30 days from the time documents are received at Aramex. DO NOT go to the embassy to pickup your passport. You will be notified by SMS and email once your documents are ready for pickup at ARAMEX. Required Documents for U.S. Visa Renewals:

Next Steps: You will be contacted to pick up your passport at the Aramex pick-up location you selected during the registration process once your visa is ready. If an interview is required, the U.S. Embassy will contact you by telephone or email. Message for Applicants Attending a Visa Interview: If you have an appointment at the U.S. Embassy, please go directly to the U.S. Embassy. Do not go to Aramex. Please make sure you bring your passport and a second ID (i.e. driver’s license, ID card, etc.) with you as both pieces of ID will be required to enter the Embassy. Applicants 14 years of age and under (children) who will be traveling with a parent do not need to come to the Embassy for an interview. Also, applicants over 79 years of age (seniors) with prior travel to the United States and who have never been arrested or convicted of a crime, deported from the United States, or denied entry to the United States do not need to come to the Embassy for an interview. A family member may bring the child’s and/or senior’s passport to the Embassy at the time of the family member’s interview. You are not allowed to enter the U.S. Embassy while carrying any of the following items:
This list is not exhaustive. Other items may be prohibited at the discretion of security staff. There is no facility at the U.S. Embassy to store prohibited items. You must make arrangements to store these items before entering. Due to security considerations, there is no information window for walk-in visitors at the U.S. Embassy. Only visa applicants with scheduled interviews will be admitted. While the Embassy does not require specific documents, we encourage you to bring to the interview any documents that you think would help explain your ties to Algeria – for example, evidence of prior travel out of Algeria, financial/tax documents related to your business, pay receipts, bank statements, or letters of invitation. The Consular officer may not ask for them, but it is good to have them with you. Please be sure to monitor your email in case the Embassy has to make any changes to your appointment. |
